(Yicai Global) May 22 — China’s three biggest airlines are seeking compensation from Boeing for the disruption caused by the grounding of 736 Max aircraft.
Air China and China Southern Airlines have joined China Eastern Airlines in filing claims to Boeing over the loss caused, Xinhua News Agency learned today.
China was the first country to ground Boeing’s best-selling 737 Max after two fatal crashes in Ethiopia and Indonesia claimed over 300 lives between last October and this March.
There were 96 737 Max aircraft in operation in China prior to the grounding.
