China’s Cumulative 5G Investment to Hit USD173 Billion by 2025

(Yicai Global) March 5 — China’s overall investment on fifth-generation wireless communications network will reach CNY1.2 trillion (USD173 billion) by 2025, including CNY500 billion to reform the intranet of industrial firms, in the next five years, according to the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.
The development of 5G will also stimulate spending on its industry chains and applications, with a total value of CNY3.5 trillion by that year, Wang Zhiqin, vice president of CAICT, said in a report yesterday.
