(Yicai Global) May 14 — Another Tesla has caught fire, marking the first such incident in Hong Kong and the third worldwide within one month.
A Model S ignited in a parking lot in Kowloon yesterday, the Hong Kong Economic Times reported. The car was charged to 97 percent of its maximum capacity.
Last month, a three-year-old Model S sedan exploded in an underground parking lot in Shanghai. The vehicle was not being charged nor had had any other problems before the incident. The third flaming Tesla was located in Los Angeles.
