Huawei, Changshan Beiming JV Wins USD66.9 Million Changsha Smart City Project

(Yicai Global) Dec. 27 — A joint venture of Huawei Technologies, the world’s largest telecoms equipment maker, and an arm of information technology solutions provider Changshan Beiming Technology has won a CNY468 million (USD66.9 million) contract to supply the Chinese city of Changsha with smart software services.

The deal is another milestone in Beiming Software’s portfolio of smart city construction projects, its parent company said today, adding that the Changsha scheme will help the Guangzhou-based IT firm consolidate its position in the field, further understand the state informatization market and leverage its influence.

The project’s value is a rough estimate and there will be a 5 percent discount on signing, the firm said. The contract will be inked within 30 days of receiving written notification of it securing the bid.

Shijiazhuang, Hebei province-based Changshan Beiming’s [SHE:000158] stock price rose 1.85 percent today to close at CNY6.62 (USD0.95).
