(Yicai Global) Jan. 23 — Chinese bike-sharer Mobike will integrate with Meituan Dianping on a broader scale following its acquisition by since the latter in April.

Beijing Mobike Technology’s brand will be restyled as Meituan Bike and use the latter’s app as the only means to access it in future, Wang Huiwen, vice president of Beijing-based Meituan Dianping, said in an internal letter released today.

Mobike will be included in the location-based service business unit under Wang, he said in the letter. Meituan Dianping set up its LBS business unit managing network-related vehicles and unmanned logistics in October.

Mobike’s management team stayed on post-buyout while Meituan Dianping founder and Chairman Wang Xing also assumed the chairmanship at Mobike.

Hu Wei, Mobike’s founder, resigned as its chief executive a month ago, saying that he “completed his mission for that stage.”
